Lisa Simpson was a student at Indiana State University and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota.  She was a senior music major when she lost her life in 1997. 

Each year a formal is held to raise money for the Lisa Simpson Memorial Scholarship.  The formal is typically held in the Spring semester.

Description:  The Lisa Simpson Memorial Scholarship was established by the family of Lisa Simpson in honor of her memory.   Lisa Simpson was an Indiana State University music student actively involved in saxophone performance and student activities at the time of her death in 1997.

Open To:  Senior music majors

Selection Criteria:  Eligible applicants must have a 3.0 GPA.  Preference will be given to a saxophone student.  Financial need may also be a consideration.

Award Amount: $100.00 to $300.00

Number of Awards Given Annually: 1
